Big Game Awards
The 1999 Big Game Awards were presented at
the WSAA Convention Banquet Saturday, October 28th. Those who were first time
applicants received the “stump award” – a yew-wood stump mounted on a black
bell-shaped base, plus a specially prepared broadhead-tipped arrow for the
claimed species. Members applying for subsequent awards received an additional
broadhead to add to their stump. Those who attended the banquet posed for the
accompanying photograph.
Also at the Banquet we announced the Big
Bull and Big Buck awards. The Big Bull award went to Kevin Krause for his 6x6
bull, which measured 260 7/8. There was no applicant for the Big Buck award.
